Welcome to my site! A little bit about me:
I am a native of Fayetteville AR, currently residing in Baltimore MD with my husband and four-legged furry children. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas in 2003, with a major in art (emphasis in photography and graphic design) and minor in zoology. That may sound like a strange combination, but I loved studying both subjects - although I never really imagined that one day I would be able to combine my love for animals and art into one fantastic job! Besides my passion for photographing pets, I am also particularly drawn to wildlife photography. I also love using the "digital darkroom" to create unique works of art from some of my photographs. I find inspiration in the works of Jerry Uelsmann, Frans Lanting, Art Wolfe, Ansel Adams, and Edward Weston, as well as many others.I feel extremely fortunate to be able to spend every day doing what I love. In addition, I've had the rewarding experience of volunteering as a photographer for animal shelters and local rescue groups, and have photographed over 2,900 homeless animals to date for use on shelter websites and Petfinder.com. Be sure to check out my Forever Homes Wanted site, a blog that features animals currently available for adoption at the Baltimore Humane Society.
